Welcome to the NZAPP home page

The New Zealand Association of Pathology Practices Inc. (NZAPP) is a non-political, national association of community pathology providers and represents community-based specialist pathology providers in the country.

NZAPP aims to protect the interests of its members and their profession through promoting the ethical practice of pathology, undertaking high level negotiations with Government and its Agencies to underpin a funding and delivery system which is in the best interests of patients, the Government and pathology providers.

NZAPP was reformed in 2005 to advocate for community-based specialist pathology providers in New Zealand and to promote private practice as an efficient means of delivering a quality health service to New Zealanders. NZAPP replaced the former association body, Association of Community Laboratories.
